Wesley Hort, West Hampstead Plumbing and Heating
Wesley Hort, Founder, West Hampstead Heating
With over 20 years of experience in mechanical services, Wesley excels in designing, installing, and maintaining central heating systems for both domestic and commercial properties. He began his career at sixteen, working on plumbing and heating for large homes in a small company that rapidly expanded, providing him valuable insight into the nuts and bolts of a growing business.

In 2010, Wesley launched his own venture as a sole trader, gradually evolving it over a decade to grow into a skilled team. Based in Belsize Park, West Hampstead Heating works across London and specialises in premium and high-end projects.
The company is committed to renewable energy solutions and have worked closely from the beginning with the independent installer community, Heat Geek, as well as NIBE to ensure high standards are kept and fed back into the heating community.
Training Journey
Wesley became a NIBE Pro installer in January 2022 after completing NIBE’s comprehensive training courses. His motivation stemmed from a desire to upskill himself and his team, enhancing their expertise in renewable technologies.
Wesley has taken NIBE’s Basic, Intermediate, and Service & Maintenance training. He found the extended warranties and tech support to be especially helpful, while the leads and ongoing recommendations have been instrumental in supporting his business as it grows and establishes itself in the renewable sector.
In recent years, Wesley has noticed a growing customer interest in heat pumps. As he aimed to focus more on this area, NIBE emerged as an excellent investment due to its high-quality products positioned at the premium end of the market.
Wesley and his team have also undertaken training with Heat Geek and Northampton Heating Academy, to supplement knowledge and skills earned from NIBE’s training.
Key Benefits
Wesley chose to partner with NIBE due to their commitment to renewable energy solutions, noting that their focus on heat pumps distinguishes them from other manufacturers. He added that: “NIBE’s pedigree also helped, and the fact that its background is actually in colder countries!”
Wesley found the ‘hands-on’ approach of NIBE’s training particularly beneficial, as it allowed trainees to interact directly with the products and address specific questions rather than general issues. He praised the trainers—Alan Sanders and Chris Easton—for their extensive knowledge and real-world experience in heat pump installations.
Displaying their status as a NIBE Pro installer on West Hampstead Heating’s website has supported its growth, and Wesley has noticed an increase in incoming leads.
He has experienced strong support from NIBE, noting Graham Bayne in particular. Wesley values NIBE’s approach of building a personalised relationship with its clients, taking the time to listen to and act on their feedback.
